The Impact Seat Sponsors The 19th’s #RepresentsSummit 2021
At The Impact Seat, we know representation matters — representation results in equity, inclusion and innovation. Last week we were honored to sponsor The 19th News’ Represents Summit, a week-long summit focused on centering underrepresented voices and communities to explore why representation matters in democracy, sports, business, culture and voting.
This year’s guests included some of the world’s biggest ambassadors of change, including Former First Lady Michelle Obama, Secretary Deb Haaland, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
We had the pleasure of introducing a panel featuring two incredible founders: Whitney Wolfe Herd, (Founder and CEO of Bumble), and Beatrice “Bea” Dixon, (Co-Founder and CEO of The Honey Pot Company). Both founders touched upon the importance of funding underrepresented founders, leading with empathy and authenticity, and creating a safer, more inclusive dialogue about sexual health. Watch the full panel below, and check out The 19th’s Youtube channel for more highlights from the #19thRepresentsSummit!
